This individual in Southeast Asia obediently followed the Lord into the unknown to make Him known. Her name is undisclosed for safety and privacy reasons. She moved to the field from Indiana in 2024 and has a very passionate heart to reach unreached people groups with the Good News and make disciples that will continue to share this News.
The 10/40 window is an area of the globe in the Eastern hemisphere that contains 83% of the world’s unreached people groups. This area has the highest concentration of unsaved people and people groups.
Unreached people is a term used to describe people and people groups around the world who have little to no access to the Bible or the Gospel and have a small chance of ever hearing Jesus’ name. This can be due to many reasons including geographical, language, cultural, political, and situational barriers that make it difficult to reach these people whether physically, verbally, and/or spiritually.
Southeast Asia is a vibrant and diverse region comprising 11 countries, known for its rich cultures, varied landscapes, and significant economic growth. SE Asia is home to roughly 674 million people, making it one of the most populated regions in the world. There are hundreds of languages spoken in this region and hundreds of different religions followed with some of the most prominent religions being Buddhism and Islam. In these 11 countries, there is roughly 49 million Christian adherents, however, there are still 1,065 unreached people groups and 420 million unreached people, with millions of others being minimally reached with the Gospel.
