What to Expect:
Every Sunday students gather at Calvary to build community, worship God, and grow in their faith. Following our weekly teaching, students connect in small groups to learn from, challenge, and encourage one another in their walk with Jesus.
Youth Group is an environment where all students are welcome and valued, allowing them to have fun with friends, meet new people, invite others to join, worship together, and be equipped to step into the life God has designed them to live!
YOUTH PARENT RALLY
Join us for our Student Parent Rally, an intentional evening designed to equip and encourage you as the primary disciple-makers in your home. Whether you’re parenting a brand-new 6th grader or a seasoned senior, this night will help you start the year connected and confident.
Here’s what’s happening:
1.) A Quality Meal – Come hungry! We’ll have a legit dinner ready for you (because you’ve earned more than pizza).
2.) Youth Ministry Calendar Overview – We’ll walk through the full calendar of events for the year — including estimated costs and important dates to lock in now.
3.) Seminar (Topic TBD) - A short, practical session for parents to discuss together.
This rally sets the tone for a year of partnership, purpose, and parenting on mission. We can't wait to see you there!
FALL KICKOFF
We're launching the fall semester with a night you do not want to miss! Whether you’re new to Youth at Calvary or returning for another awesome year, our Fall Kickoff is the place to be! Here's what you can expect: Dinner – Who doesn’t love free food?! Games – Big energy, big laughs, big prizes. Small Group Reveals – Find out who your leader is and which students you’ll be doing life with this year. Bring a friend (or two…or three!)—this is the perfect night to plug in, get hyped for the year, and kick things off together.
YOUTH LEADER SUMMIT
This is THE weekend to get equipped, connected, and fired up for the year ahead.
Over the course of these 2 days, we’ll focus on three key things:
- Small Group Leader Training – Get practical tools, fresh vision, and table discussions on how to lead students with confidence and compassion.
- Team-Building Activities – Grow closer as a team with meaningful moments designed to build trust, unity, and friendship.
- Sharing Meals Together – Your meals (Friday dinner, Saturday Breakfast & Lunch) are taken care of!
Come ready to learn, bond, and leave feeling equipped and encouraged to invest in the next generation of Jesus-followers!
Meet Connor
Connor desires to invest in families and see every student find their identity, belonging, and purpose in Jesus.
He is passionate about seeing students of all ages and stages be changed by the power of the Gospel and empowered by the Holy Spirit to leverage their lives to impact their peers and take this Good News around the world. Connor loves to shoot film, hunt, and drink great coffee.
Connor is married to his wonderful wife Emily who is equally passionate about students and partners with him in ministry. The Woods’ celebrated the birth of their first son Cooper in August of 2024.
